FAQ:
•    What as an evaluator do you require in a child portfolio?
I require only what the law requires:
– A list of 180 days of education (Which can be as little as a 180 point checklist or more extensive educational record.)
– A List of books and resources utilized for the current curriculum, (which can include videos, pamphlets and educational televison.)
– A few samples of work and projects completed by the child, (Do not require samples of EVERY subject, just a few will do.)
– As required in the state home education law, requirements also include:
– Standardized test results for children in 3rd, 5th and 8th grade.
•    Does my child need to be present during the evaluation?
– Law requires that I do an interview with each student and I can do that in person or via phone.
– I also can conduct lawful distance evaluations via phone with all involved parties based on family needs.
•     Can you help if I am just getting started in Home Schooling?
– Absolutely, as I assist new to home school families all the time and you can always find valuable resources on our link page.
•    Do you administer standardized tests?
– Yes, I will do so, whoever anyone other than the parent can administer standardized tests at home here are links to standardized testing:
•    How much do you charge for home school evaluations?
– I do not charge a fee, however, I accept donations based on what you value the evaluation, as a home school parent. I do it this way to ensure home school evaluations are not a financial burden to parents.
